The Right Choice for You!

A few years ago, nobody was looking for a day trading advisor. The investing crowd did very well just buying and never selling.

In the 90’s, the financial “gurus” and mutual fund sales people would look you in the eye and say, “You can’t time the market.” At the same time, the fund managers were timing their buying and selling every day, saying it was based on “fundamentals,” (i.e. the estimated value of the underlying companies).

But after the “buy and hold” investors lost most of their retirement money in the 2000-2002 crash, Wall Street’s hypnotic power was over. About that time, day trading advisors by the boatload claimed to be “the only one” who called the top. A few of them actually did. (Here’s my own “call,” published in the RBI Updates in late 1999, just before the market topped and started to crash.)

Nowadays it’s clear to many former “investors” that the market can be timed, should be timed, and must be timed, if you’re going to avoid losing everything.

But believing that the market can be timed and learning how to time it are two different things. It takes years to learn to trade, to buy low and sell high consistently – usually it takes 3 to 5 years at least. Finding an experienced day trading advisor will greatly reduce your learning curve.

If you plan to learn day trading without a day trading advisor, you’re probably going to lose more money in the markets than you’d ever spend on an advisor. I ought to know, I’ve been trading for about 25 years now, but I wasn’t consistent in my trading until I found my day trading advisor, Dick Diamond. Before that, I was on my own for 6 years, I made some great trades, but always ended up giving it back, and then some.

In those days there was no internet, no online futures trading, very little advice on day trading, and no sign of the type of support and resistance trading trading that I use today.

This is where a day trading advisor, such as myself who actually trades everyday, gives you an edge over the other traders. Finally, when you're searching for a day trading advisor, find someone who trades the same vehicles that you want to trade. If a person selling day trading advice claims to be an "expert" in day trading the stock market, day trading futures in commodities, emini day trading, options trading, and Forex trading, it's essential that you make certain that this day trading advisor has experience successfully trading all of these vehicles.
